Masjid Agung Sleman

The Great Mosque of Sleman is a center for community activities used for worship and social activities. Accommodating these needs, provided stalls for buying and selling, an amphitheater, and lodging for travelers.

The shape of the mosque is designed with the same building height as the existing mosque, and the elevation of the ground floor of the building is made as close to the ground as possible, making it accessible and inclusive. The main building of the mosque is divided into 2. The prayer room where humans are connected to His creator is vertically oriented with a high roof. The interior is dominated by white and wood materials, giving a superficial impression.

In contrast, the mosque's foyer is horizontally oriented and reflects the world's life, represented by a flat roof and a lively design using a ceiling waffle beam.
